Couple of firsts

Just to keep you in the loop… I went to fill the truck up with diesel for the first time.

And I received a parking fine, hope this might help someone else to avoid one:

Heavy vehicles (4.5 tonnes or more GVM) or long vehicles (7.5 metres or longer) must not stop on a length of road outside a built-up area, except on the shoulder of the road. In a built-up area, they must not stop on a length of road for longer than one hour (buses excepted).

You can only be parked for longer if you are dropping off or picking up goods, for the entire period your vehicle is stopped or signs say otherwise. City and town councils are usually diligent in enforcing this local law.
